Keith Bollinger skinning muskrat in the Trap ShackKeith Bollinger pulling trapline with Doc Tom on backwaters Second week of Nov. ’09- Larry Jungwirth-the insurance guy, has been great help @ the conventions and Open Houses this past year.  He’s the designer of Larry’s Coon Catcher that’s featured on our website and also available in our Showroom.  The last part of  Oct., Larry set out 6 coyote traps and caught 4 coyotes. One pulled out the bait and departed. He caught 2 large coon with his Coon Catcher Trap and also 1 gray fox. He told tales of catching a skunk and 2 opossum. Larry’s been seeing coyote’s running across the fields and many farmers on the vet route are seeing ‘Yotes.

Keith Bollinger is another incredible asset to our Trap Shack Staff. He’s  a Sophmore @ UW Steven’s Point and has helped @ conventions and Open Houses. Keith is a member of our Salwey family and is enthusiastic. We’re delighted that Keith was recently awarded a scholarship and national recognition for FFA.  His Future Farmer’s of America coach is Chris Jumbeck from Cochrane-Fountain City High School. She’s an incredible advisor and is so proud that Keith  received the FFA Wildife Natural Resource Management Proficiency Award and was selected National Champion.    He came to help Tom pull the backwater’s trap line . Keith also took lessons in the Trap Shack regarding tips on skinning mushy’s and Tommy’s tips for handling fur. Keith with great determination, dyed his muskrat traps in the basement kitchen of his dorm.  He had permission to do this as long as he didn’t make a mess.  He commented there’s a kitchen for cleaning critters @ UW Steven’s Point also.

We welcome your stories and would love to hear what trapping or coon hunting supplies are working the best for your endeavors.
