Resolve to Dissolve and Evolve in the Blue Moon Light

Dec. 31, ’09-It’s 5 AM and 7 degrees above zero. I peer intently @ the blue moon bouncing beams in the morning chill. It’s a thrill to marvel @ the cosmic dance and the chance to enhance my stance in life. It’s a vision and working from the end point forward. Settling into a deep trust as I’m riding the cosmic sleigh listening to what the moondrops say in the pristine morning skies.
The steel handled water bucket splashes and spills as I attempt to water the geese. I fumble with the kennel latch and kick @ the bottom of the chain link door. A frozen grapefruit rind has halted my entry to Geezer and Sassy’s pen. Inside I splatter our discarded table scraps onto the ground. Geezer is hissing and warning me. I assume he fell in love overnight and has decided to start his spring thing. Then I notice he’s hissing and flapping his bent wing and staring into the dark part of their pen. I focus my eyes and there in the pen-an opossum! Opossum is looking longingly @ Geezer and the Swedish Blue Ducks. Last night I saw another opossum teetering across the snow outside of this pen. I did the logical thing..I tried to chase the opossum out of the pen. Yeah, good idea..I’ve seen Tom’s dog do this years back. Then I think I’ll grab Geezer by the neck and hoist him under my arm and hold his neck so he can’t grab @ me with his powerful beak. But-Sassy will get out..Now that opossum is trying to get @ the ducks. This over rides everything and I simply open the pen doors and try to chase the ducks out. They’re all confused and don’t enjoy duck duties in cold snow with a predator prowling in their nests. We have a trapping supply business and I picture my life as a cartoon. I conclude that I will walk away and call the ducks and geese. They tweedle out and honk and quack their appreciation. The opossum clumsily totters his tail over to the aged chicken coop and disappears inside.
Trapper Tom has set 2 cage traps in pursuit of the opossums that are residing with longing eyes too close to our poultry. He baited the traps with our own Muir Creek brand Greg’s Great Coon Bait.
Marching through chores and basking in the moonlight mesmerizes me. I’m @ Thunder Lane and I notice my heavily gloved fingers turned up-ward. The forefinger and thumb are pinched together. I hear my song exploding in the stillness. I float high and leap even higher. I shove my mind’s boundaries away. I soar and see what the hawk sees. I marvel @ the blue moon. It’s a dimension beyond words as I settle into the far away call of the barred owl. Soaked in consciousness it’s a deep gravitational pull to nature and peace that surpasses all human understanding.
We appreciate all your stories, on-going business and the opportunity to share snippets of our lives with you. We see great things happening all around and we’ll be watching for you.
Now what’s your resolution??
